Ano Natsu de Matteru (Waiting in the Summer)

snow stuck in the night sky
sparkling gorgeously
these aren’t snow, are they?

i wonder if it’s cold there
i tried to reach it
as i held my hands up high

when the sun comes up
it’ll melt soon
and reveal the ocean above us

i wonder what lies beyond
i bet it’s something beautiful
i want to go there, someday

i was searching for something
some believable words or something
maybe something to leave behind?

the season for love already ended
the smell of summer
lingers in the air

i’m always waiting for
the twilight because
i wonder why it became so warm

something fell from the sky
sparkling gorgeously
this isn’t snow, is it?

maybe you’re the one
you’re the one i was
searching for

a reason for me
to create something,
to be remembered

the season for love already ended
but your sudden appearance
struck a string inside me

when i realized it
they were all tangled up
the knots had gotten stronger

i’ll burn these images
of the world i was gazing
through my lens

this is selfish of me to ask
but can you,
will you take part in it?

“no matter what the future has in store for us
i want to say i love you
i want to tell you i love you”

you live inside of me
i want to live in yours too
will you let me?

nothing in this world
lasts forever
but i hope that in your world they do

i was right, what lies beyond
really is something, no, someone beautiful
please take me with you

i’m always waiting for
the twilight because
i wonder when are you coming back

i wonder if it’s cold there
i tried to reach it
as i held my hands up high, i miss you

when the sun comes up
and reveal the ocean above us
you don’t need to worry

i’ll always
remember that summer,
be waiting in the summer
